I hope so, because today’s blog is going to introduce to a flavoursome spicy pizza which I would say is the best in NI.   Today’s blog is in Bangor, County Down. One of my favourite places for a day out. There is beautiful views of the sea, Pickie Park to have fun on the swans and my favourite pizza shop, Piccolos Pizza Bangor, because at the end of every good day out is an even greater takeaway 😁 . Piccolos serves authentic Italian- style food,    they have 80 menu items and have been serving the Bangor area for 30 years. Each time I have visited their food has been fresh, tasty and their service has been top class. Hello fellow foodies. If you have any form of social media whether it be Facebook, TikTok or Instagram you'll have noticed how popular street food is becoming in Northern Ireland. Street food vans seem to be popping up everywhere, quickly followed by the quirky videos, boomerangs and pictures promoting them across social media sites. An article on Belfast Live stated, " Takeaway and food stalls numbers increased by 64% to reach 1,363, while event catering went up by 70% to reach 631, compared to last year" (Toufexi, 2021). I guess that means I'll have plenty of street food trucks to check out for you all, you can thank me later😉. My first craving since created Phatblog took me to Downpatrick, County Down. Legend has it St Patrick lived here in the 5th century and was buried on the Hill of Down where Downpatrick Cathedral has been since the 12th Century (St Patrick's Centre, 2021). The Downpatrick Cathedral is a beautiful, historical building and there's parking on the street facing it if you want to eat your food with a view. I visited the Daily Grind Cafe, it has a great atmosphere with a relaxing sit-in area and also offers take-aways. Their main menu is filled with different sandwiches, toasties, salads and lovely drinks. They have also created a "Souper Duper Specials" menu just in time for Autumn AKA 'Soup Season' which includes lots of tasty soup and sandwich combos.
